Founded in 2004 in a public-private partnership, FITCI is supported by the Frederick County, City of Frederick, State of Maryland (Department of Business & Economic Development-DBED), Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO), and the local business community. Located at 4539 Metropolitan Court in Frederick, FITCI is home to a number of emerging biotechnology and information technology companies. Today, FITCI stands as a major success story of how private/public business partnerships can successfully work to meet the public sector goals while operating efficiently and cost effectively in the private sector.
