Vixar was founded in 2005 by Dr. Klein Johnson and Dr. Mary Hibbs-Brenner. Drs. Johnson and Hibbs-Brenner were previously instrumental in establishing the VCSEL business at Honeywell serving the high speed fiber optic data communications market.
